Trubyville Roving Reporter- Gannon

Today was February 1,2010, Gannon #2, National Bubble Gum Day. We started off the day with our morning work which was about the invention of bubble gum. After that we started our first project of the day. Mrs.T wrote the four words on the board: tastes, smells, feels, sounds. This was for the ode we are going to write. So we started on our ode to bubble gum. We worked on that for about 20 minutes.

After we made our ode to bubble gum we got started on our By golly By gum project. My partners were Dylan and Mrs.T. The type of bubble gum we had was Bubbalicious. This was my favorite thing of the whole day. We were all laughing to death when GT, Emma, and Rachel ate 4 pieces of bazooka bubble gum. They were all gagging on it which made us laugh. Next we made self portraits of ourselves. When we were done with that some people went to band and others stayed for study hall. After study hall was finished we went to lunch.

Next came lunch recess. during recess we went out onto the football field and everyone made ginormous snow balls. Some were even 4 feet tall. We lined them all up and Mrs. Granell took a picture. After lunch recess all the fifth grade classes came into the forum for a biggest bubble blowing contest. And after a little bit we came up with a winner: Isabella who had blown a bubble the size of her face. Gus was the runner up and he had a really interesting technique to do it.

After that we went to our classroom and sat down in front of the Smartboard. We went on Trubyville and discussed Trubyville Times. Then we came up with our schedule of who was going to be the reporter of the day. Then we went to music. When we came back we got our agenda out then went down to the gym. Mr. Burdette told us that the walkers could go. We left and next to the side of the bridge was a dead raccoon. Colton and I decided to name him Rabies. We crossed the street and everyone went home.
